Fee Changes Take Effect on July 13, 2002

July 12, 2002

Changes to DCLU's Fee Subtitle take effect on July 13, 2002. Most of the updates are minor, technical amendments that correct errors or align fees for similar activities.

The four most significant changes include:

  • An increase of $125 when applications with a value over $5,000,000 are split into two or more applications;
  • A nonrefundable fee of $125 when revisions to a project are submitted after a building permit is issued;
  • An increase in the permit fee for factory-built multi-story multifamily structures; and
  • An increase of $50 for temporary noise variances.

DCLU fees are updated periodically and published in the "Fee Subtitle," which is adopted by the Seattle City Council. Associated documents include a DCLU Director's Rule which implements the Fee Subtitle, a Fee Worksheet, a Building Valuation Table (based on ICBO building standards), and the Washington State Building Code Council Building Permit Fee (RCW 19.27.085).
