Red Light Camera Tickets

In July 2006, the City of Seattle initiated the automated photo enforcement program to reduce the frequency of red light running and associated accidents. The program is operated by the Seattle Police Department.
Violations detected by red light cameras are processed like parking tickets. A conviction for a traffic camera violation will not appear on your state driving record.

View Your Ticket

You can view pictures and video of the alleged violation at using the citation number and PIN provided on the notice that you received.

If you do not have a computer, you may view the pictures and video on a public computer at any branch of the Seattle Public Library, or any public computer at the Seattle Municipal Court. The court's public computers are located in our third floor Records Unit, Room 335.

Ticket Response Options

Visit the court's Ticket Response Options page for information on how to resolve a red light camera violation.

If You Were Not Driving the Vehicle

If you were not driving the vehicle when the alleged violation occurred, you may submit, under penalty of perjury, a written statement swearing that the vehicle was not in your care, custody, or control. To do so, print and return the declaration of non-responsibility to the Seattle Municipal Court.

You must return the declaration to the court by the due date shown on the front of the Notice of Infraction.
