COUNCIL SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR FAMILIES AND EDUCATION LEVY OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE
Council Seeking Two Qualified Individuals for Committee
SEATTLE – Councilmember Tim Burgess is seeking candidates to fill two Council positions on the Families and Education Levy Oversight Committee. The Levy was passed in 2004, and provides funding for Early Childhood Development, School-Based Student and Family Services, Out-of-School Activities, Middle School Support, and Student Health Services.
The Levy Oversight Committee (LOC) was established by Ordinance 121529
to review and advise on implementation and evaluation plans, the City of Seattle/Seattle School District Partnership Agreement, expenditures and allocations of Levy funds, and make recommendations on the implementation of particular Levy programs.
What: Applicants for Families and Education Oversight Committee.
When: Applications accepted now through 5:00 pm on Friday June 12, 2009.
Who: Open to Seattleites who are interested and have a background in education, youth and family services.
