Public Hearing on Magnuson Park’s Buildings 11 and 27

SEATTLE — Councilmember Tom Rasmussen, chair of the Parks and Seattle Center Committee, encouraged members of the public and the media to attend the Committee’s public hearing on Thursday, September 18, 5:30 p.m. on proposed lease agreements for buildings in Sand Point’s Magnuson Park—Building 11, current home of Sail Sand Point, and Building 27 that Arena Sports wants to turn into a site for indoor sports programs. Also up for discussion is the legislation to amend portions of the Land Use Code affecting use, development and signage standards within Magnuson Park and the Sand Point Historic District.
