COUNCIL WILL HEAR LATEST ON VIADUCT
Transportation departments will brief lawmakers on replacement of viaduct
SEATTLE — On Monday, March 3rd at 3:00pm, the Council’s Committee of the Whole, Alaskan Way Viaduct, will receive an update on the Alaskan Way Viaduct & Seawall Replacement Program. The update will include a review of the six Moving Forward projects that will replace or repair about half of the Viaduct as well as information on projects that will keep people and goods moving during construction. The Council will also be briefed about the Central Waterfront Planning and the collaborative work between the City of Seattle, King County, and the Washington State Department of Transportation. “I look forward to hearing about how the agencies are continuing to work together to plan the future of the viaduct,” says Jan Drago, Chair of the Committee of the Whole, Alaskan Way Viaduct.
