Drago Hires Jodie Vice Veteran planner joins Transportation Chair’s team
SEATTLE –Today, Councilmember Jan Drago, Chair of the Transportation Committee and co-Chair of the Special Committee on Pedestrian Safety, announced that she has hired Ms. Jodie Vice as a Legislative Aide responsible for staffing her on major transportation issues.
“ Jodie is a transportation planner whose diverse portfolio in both the public and private sectors ranges from developing multimodal transportation plans, non-motorized transportation plans, and extensive public involvement, with considerable experience in integrated land use and transportation planning, land use review, and code interpretation,” said Councilmember Drago. “Her considerable experiences in transit and pedestrian issues will be useful to both of my committees.”
Councilmember Drago added, “The City Council is dealing with a range of major, complex transportation issues, including the Alaskan Way Viaduct, the SR 520 floating bridge, the Mercer Corridor, the Pedestrian Master Plan, and others, and I feel that Jodie is the very best person to help in that effort.”
Vice is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, the Seattle Pedestrian Advisory Board, Futurewise, the North Beacon Hill Community Council, and is a former “Get Engaged” board participant.
