MEASURING THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE ARTS IN SEATTLE
A brown-bag forum on the financial importance of the arts

What:
When most people think of the impact of arts’ organizations on our community, they immediately think of cultural enrichment. Often overlooked is the positive contribution that the arts make to our economy—providing sustainable living-wage jobs and helping create a healthy economy. This financial contribution has been measured by numerous regional economic studies. Come to this brown-bag forum and hear arts’ leaders and City officials reports on the lesser-known side of cultural organizations—their financial importance to the community.

Who:
Michael Killoren, Director, City of Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs
Dwight Gee, Executive Vice President, ArtsFund
Kelly Tweeddale, Administrative Director, The Seattle Opera
Laura Penn, Managing Director, The Intiman Theater
Anne Derieux, Executive Director, Spectrum Dance Theater
Scott Nolte, Producing Artistic Director, Taproot Theater

Where:
Council Chambers
Seattle City Hall
600 4th Ave. 2nd Floor
Seattle, WA 98124

When:
Tuesday April 3, noon-1:15 pm

All members of the public are encouraged to attend this free presentation.
