VIADUCT BALLOT TITLE WILL NOT CONTAIN COST ESTIMATES
Councilmembers Disagree with Seattle City Attorneys Decision

The ballot titles for the March 13 Alaskan Way Viaduct ballot measures were released today by the Seattle City Attorneys Office. The City Attorneys Office decided that the ballot titles will not contain cost estimates.

Council President Nick Licata and Councilmember David Della issued the following statement: We are concerned that Alaskan Way Viaduct ballot titles without cost figures will increase the likelihood of a legal challenge. The Governor requested that the ballot address both costs and funding sources.
