Prohibiting discrimination against people with criminal records
Seattle City Councilmember Bruce Harrell to moderate community forum

Seattle Many people with arrest and conviction records have a hard time finding work or a place to live. Should Seattles anti-discrimination ordinance include protections for people who have served their time when the crime poses no threat to the safety of others? Could a change in law decrease the difficulties faced by people with arrest and conviction records? Can we end discrimination against people whose past record does not relate to their tenancy or employment? These questions and more will be discussed at Wednesdays community forum.
