Jeremy joins Councilmember Nelson's office with experience most recently as Director of Government Relations at the Evergreen State College, where he placed equity front and center in his work, successfully advocating the legislature to fund Native Arts & Education programs and DEI initiatives, while working as a stakeholder to reform educational opportunities for incarcerated individuals. Prior to that, he served as Executive Assistant to former Senate Majority Leader Sharon Nelson, where he worked on behalf of the Senator's West Seattle constituents and across the aisle to help advance critical legislation impacting residents across Washington. After transferring with an AA from North Seattle Community College, Jeremy earned a BA in political science from Western Washington University and a Master of Public Administration from The Evergreen State College. 

Among his proudest accomplishments, Jeremy worked in 2012 on the campaign to legalize marriage equality in Washington, the same year he was elected as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention. He currently lives in West Lake Union with his husband and two cats. In his spare time, he's likely to be found baking, camping, or catching the newest movie releases. Jeremy serves as Councilmember Nelson's Chief of Staff.

Kate Nolan

Kate Nolan is a former public affairs consultant with over eight years of experience working on policy, community outreach, and advocacy in the Puget Sound region.

Prior to joining Councilmember Nelson's team, Kate worked with non-profits, community groups, businesses, the City of Seattle, and other local jurisdictions on a wide variety of policy issues including transportation, housing, land-use, public safety, workforce development, infrastructure, and maritime/industrial advocacy. In addition to consulting, Kate has also served on several campaigns including signature gathering for Charter Amendment 29 and as field organizer and general staff for U.S. Congresswoman Suzan DelBene’s 2014 re-election campaign.

Prior to moving to Seattle over eight years ago, Kate worked on campaigns in her home state of Michigan and in Costa Rica at the Instituto de Formación, an organization focused on increased participation in the electoral process. She is a graduate of Kalamazoo College, with a degree in Political Science and Public Policy. Kate serves as Councilmember Nelson's policy analyst and clerks her Economic Development, Technology, and City Light Committee

Taemin was born in Fort Lewis, grew up in Bellevue, Washington and graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2014. He managed and later consulted on local, state, and federal political campaigns.  Taemin also worked for State Representative Vandana Slatter. 

Taemin currently serves as a Board Member for the WA Chapter of the Korean American Coalition.  He is a proud supporter of the Seattle Mariners and believes that this will finally be the year.
