Support Greenwood Small Businesses: Demand PSE Accountability
On the morning of March 9th, 2016, the Greenwood business district experienced a huge natural gas explosion. The explosion destroyed three businesses, damaged three dozen others, and displaced tenants. Almost one year later, many of the businesses have still not been made whole. Small businesses are bearing the burden of PSE’s negligence, some businesses are even on the verge of closing their doors for good. While PSE was found at fault for the explosion, they have not provided relief. If our local businesses continue to struggle or shutter all together under a non-response by PSE, then how can we be sure the company won’t be negligent again?
Businesses have come together and are asking for community support to demand that PSE take responsibility for their negligence, make the businesses whole, and ensure the broader community that this won’t happen again. Sign up to demand accountability.
