Tyler Emsky originally hails from the charming town of Fall City in Washington’s Snoqualmie Valley (traffic lights: 0, combination flower shops/gun stores: 1). He is a proud graduate of the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington, a program which stoked his interest in government policy and led to an internship in US Rep. Adam Smith’s congressional office. After a stint in the private sector Tyler moved to the campaign world by working as a field organizer, first for the successful campaign to create a Seattle Park District and then for a state senate contest. His deep love for Seattle led him to leap at the opportunity to serve as the Juarez campaign manager and continue to work for the Councilmember at City Hall.
He spends his spare time reading biographies and data-driven political blogs, rock climbing, and searching for the best fried chicken in Seattle.
