2nd Ave NE & Latona Ave NE, map

Respondent #36 submission, 2/13/2014

2nd Ave and LatonaIf you are headed north on 2nd avenue, it's unclear that one should, and difficult to execute, merge onto Latona before entering the intersection. Further the hill and sharp turn makes a blind spot for Eastbound traffic on Woodlawn. I nearly collided with somebody just 20 minutes ago due to this, and it is hard to identify fault except for a poorly constructed and signed intersection.

My problem was that I followed the street which pretty much dumps into Woodlawn, bypassing the Latona stop sign. Good draws a helpful road overlay that shows how the street should be navigated, but driving down that hill, it is certainly unclear. So to better illustrate the hazzard, a further zoomed screen shot of the intersection would probably be better (or rather zoomed at the map source).
