Nate Van Duzer, Legislative Aide

Nate Van Duzer worked in non-profit advocacy in Washington, D. C. on peace, environmental stewardship, and economic justice issues. He has also worked resettling refugees in the Seattle area and helping to launch The U.S.-Muslim Engagement Project. Nate is a graduate of Georgetown University where he majored in history and minored in Arabic and Muslim-Christian relations.

Tobias Pulliam, Legislative Aide

Tobias Pulliam is a native of Memphis and studied journalism and public relations at the University of Tennessee. Being from the Volunteer State, Tobias has a diverse range of volunteer experience, including time spent as an English teacher in Vietnam, a facilitator with Youth Venture, a candidate researcher with the Municipal League of King County, and a copy editor for the United Nation's International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth. After working in banking, Tobias used his accounting and customer relations skills within several departments in the City of Seattle for over five years before joining this office.

Alex Pedersen, Legislative Aide

Alex Pedersen has been working hard in the field of community development for the past 20 years in both the private and public sectors. Alex served at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in Washington, DC during the Clinton Administration and as an aide to the President of the Oakland City Council before settling in Seattle with his family in 2007. In between his public service commitments, Alex completed complex feasibility studies for financial institutions to enable the construction or renovation of over 7,000 affordable apartment units throughout Washington State and the nation. Alex received his Masters in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. Alex’s wife was born and raised in Seattle and their children are having a ball growing up here, too.
