2016 Seattle City Budget
The Council's Budget Process
The City Council is the midst of a two-month review of Mayor Murray’s proposed 2016 operating budget. Between September 28 and November 23, Councilmembers will evaluate proposed spending in City departments, hear from the public, make amendments, and adopt the final budget for 2016. This website is a resource which includes meeting dates, supporting documents, and information about the budget process.
The Budget Process
The City Council conducts its official budget deliberations from late September to mid-November, but drafting the budget is a year-long process. If you have any questions about the process, please contact central staff Executive Assistant Patrick Wigren or 206-386-1381.
