KEXP / Seattle Center Lease Agreement
In early June of 2010, KEXP responded to a Request For Proposal issued by Seattle Center for redevelopment of the south Fun Forest site. In December of 2010, Councilmember Bagshaw joined Mayor McGinn and Seattle Center Director Robert Nellams in announcing that both a Chihuly glass exhibition and a new studio for KEXP would find homes on the Seattle Center campus.
Over the last nine months, a lease agreement has been negotiated between KEXP and Seattle Center, and the legislation bearing that agreement comes before the City Council on September 15th and September 22nd as part of the Parks and Seattle Center Committee agenda.
