CONSULTANT PUBLIC WORKS PURCHASING RESOURCES |
City Purchasing and Contracting Services Online Business Directory Registration (VCR) Interested in doing business with the City of Seattle? Your first step is to register. Registering your business with the City of Seattle helps develop a directory that City departments can use when looking for businesses to supply goods and services. Prime contractors and consultants may also use the system to solicit firms for sub work.
What does it mean to register with the City? Registering with the City of Seattle is a simple process that acts as a directory. When City departments are looking for companies to supply goods or services, they may use this directory to develop bid and contact lists. What kind of information do I need to supply? You will need to supply your business Federal Tax ID number, Washington State Business License Number (UBI), business name and address, contact information, and some general infomation on what your business does. You can also add your Washington State WMBE or DBE status, if applicable. I've already registered with the City...Now what? Registering your business with the City of Seattle does not pre-approve or authorize you to do business with the City, but departments may contact registered businesses when they are looking to purchase goods and services. You can also look for upcoming opportunities to bid on proposals at The Buy Line and The Consultant Connection. Construction opportunities can be found at eBid.
