Windermere Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Reduction Project WMBE Inclusion Page

CDM Constructors, Inc. (CDM) is the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) for the Windermere CSO Reduction project. This project will be constructed for Seattle Public Utilities. CDM will be seeking sealed Subcontractor bids for various portions of the work which will be competitively bid with public bid openings in accordance with RCW 39.10.380.

An informational flyer on the project is available here.

If you are interested in this project please complete the Company Profile form and send it to CDM per the instructions on the form. Your company will be entered into our database and you will receive project updates by Email.

Project General Scope

The Windermere CSO Reduction project calls for construction of an underground storage tank to temporarily hold approximately 2.1 million gallons of combined sewer overflow during major rain events.  This tank will limit overflows into Lake Washington. The tank will typically be emptied within 24 hours and its contents gradually transferred to the County’s system, so as not to overwhelm the treatment plant.  The project also includes construction of a 30-inch gravity line to convey CSO flows to the tank and a 12-inch force main for pumping CSO out of the tank.  Both conveyance lines will be in a shared trench.
