City Purchasing and Contracting Services Bidding Opportunities Thank you for your interest in bidding opportunities at the City of Seattle! Public Works All City of Seattle public works bidding opportunities are published on the City’s online bid document distribution website called eBid, as well as in the Daily Journal of Commerce (DJC). Purchasing Goods and Services City Purchasing manages bids and contracts for all City products, supplies, equipment and services that have an accumulated value above $47,000 a year. The ads will be published for at least two (2) days in the Daily Journal of Commerce (DJC) and on the City website. For these solicitations, the City will require a formal bid and/or a proposal, depending on the nature of the work. Consultant Contracting The City has decentralized consultant contracting. Each City department is responsible for managing their own consultant contracts, however, the City Purchasing and Contracting Services Division provides general consultant contracting policies, procedures and guidelines. The City may advertise certain projects above $47,000 instead of selecting firms from the City Roster. The ads will be published for at least two days in the Daily Journal of Commerce (DJC) and/or on the City website.
