Taxicab Associations Licensing

The Seattle Municipal Code requires taxicab association to be city licensed annually. Taxicab Association Annual License Renewal Application.

Taxicab Ass'n Annual License Fee.......$ 1000
Taxicab City Business License Fee.......$ 90

Taxicab Association Requirements

Taxicab associations are required by law to perform many operating responsibilities.

Each taxicab association has their own approved color scheme and uniform standards.

Taxicab Association Reporting

Taxicab Associations are responsible for industry reporting to the City of Seattle.
Service Information Report (xlsx) which includes paid trips, paid mile, and operating hours.
Vehicle Collisions Report (xlsx) which include collision fault, injuries, and estimated damage.
Crimes against Drivers Report which are submitted quarterly which include assault and robberies.
Passenger Complaints Report regarding driver conduct, vehicle conditions, slow response, and lack of driver knowledge.

All above taxicab association reports and the Taxicab Association Annual License Renewal Application may be saved to a taxicab association's computer desktop, then emailed as an attachement to associationreports@seattle.gov when completed.
