- Justice Management Institute completes and reports on a study that establishes that Seattle Community Court defendants reduce their rate of reoffending by 66% within 18 months after their community court intervention.

- Seattle Community Court sees its 3,000th defendant.
- June of 2009
- Seattle Community Court sees its 25,000th hour of community service completed and Pretrial Diversion sees its 10,000th hour of community service managed through the Community Court Program.
- March 17, 2009
- Seattle Community Court selected as one of three national Community Court Mentor sites by the United States Department of Justice.
- March 13, 2009
- Seattle Community Court celebrates its 4th Anniversary at a meeting of its Community Advisory Board.
- Fall of 2008
- Seattle Community Court adds a second Probation Monitor, sees its 2,000th defendant.
- July 1, 2008
- Seattle Community Court News, the official electronic newsletter of Seattle Community Court, debuts.
- January of 2008
- Community Court geographic eligibility expanded to include eligible crimes committed anywhere in the city.
- Winter of 2007
- Seattle Community Court sees its 10,000th hour of community service.
- October of 2007
- Signature community service site in the Belltown neighborhood begins with focused use of AmeriCorps monitors and a partnership with the Millionaire's Club.
- September of 2007
- Justice Management Institute completes and reports on a highly positive Implementation Study of the Seattle Community Court.
- Fall of 2007
- First full-scale use of a four-person AmeriCorps Team to monitor and support defendants doing community service through the Community Court program.
- July of 2007
- Seattle Community Court formally chartered with an Executive Committee, Steering Committee, and Citizen Advisory Board.
- Fall of 2006
- City of Seattle receives one of only ten United States Department of Justice awards made under the Community Involved Problem-Solving Criminal Justice Initiatives grant program. Grant to be used to take Community Court citywide, include both in and out of custody defendants, and add community service requirement & social services screening for pretrial diversion candidates.
- March 5, 2005
- Seattle Community Court opens as the twenty-sixth Community Court in the United States and the first in Washington. Serves downtown core area and a few adjacent neighborhoods.
- Spring of 2005
- First meeting of ad hoc Community Advisory Board helps develop sentencing grid for Community Court defendants and identify the types of community service that will be performed.
- Fall of 2004
- Discussion and planning effort for Seattle Community Court begins between Seattle Municipal Court, Seattle City Attorney, and Associated Counsel for the Accused. An intensive six-month planning effort follows.
