Metrics Sub-Committee
The metrics sub-committee was tasked with determining indicators to measure whether Seattle is making progress in reducing its contributions to global warming pollution. The sub-committee chose the GHG inventory as the primary indicator, with additional measures of progress like per capita energy use, vehicle miles traveled, and avoided emissions from Seattle's recycling program. The group also made decisions on how to best incorporate new and more Seattle-specific data into the 2002 inventory.
