Dawn Mason has served the City of Seattle in many ways. She is a career City of
Seattle employee recently retired from Seattle Public Utilities. Ms. Mason was appointed
by the City Council to the Seattle Human Rights Commission in 1992, she was then
elected to two terms as a Representative in the Washington Legislature. She is a
founding member of the African American City Employees and is currently working to
assure a full education for children in crisis through
First Place, an Educational
Program for Children in Transition.
