The City of Seattle Online Business Directory (OBD) and the Consultant Roster have been redesigned and incorporated into a single registration system. To log into the new system, users will need to enter their legal business name and the last four digits of the business' federal tax ID. Consultants do not need to re-register, but they should update their resume and business information whenever there is a significant change, such as new project experience.
New consultants will be able to complete the Consultant Roster application by specifying an area of expertise, answering a few additional questions and submitting a resume or statement of qualifications (SOQ) in the OBD system.
Departments can hire any consultant on the list for projects valued at $280,000 or less. Depending on the project, the department can use any consultant or may use a solicitation process to select the most qualified. There is no guarantee of work for approved consultants.
