2010 Census Portrait of America Road Tour

The 2010 Census Portrait of America Road Tour is designed to educate the public on the importance of participating in the census and encourage historically hard-to-count populations to fill out and mail back their census forms when they arrive.  Everyone is invited to attend one of these Road Tour stops to experience this free, interactive and educational event.  If you can’t attend in person you are encouraged to experience the vitual tour at

Every 10 years, the Census counts everyone residing in the United States.

Census data is used to allocate more than $400 billion in federal funds each year.

The next Census count begins April 1, 2010.

The Census form has only 10 questions.
