D. Services
for Customers with Disabilities.
For any Customer with a
disability, the Cable Operator shall at no charge deliver and pick up
converters at the Customer’s home. In the case of malfunctioning equipment, the
technician shall provide and install substitute equipment, ensure that it is
working properly, and return the defective equipment to the Cable Operator.
The Cable Operator shall
provide TDD/TYY service with trained operators who can provide every type of
assistance rendered by the Cable Operator’s CSR for any hearing-impaired Customer
at no charge.
The Cable Operator shall
provide free use of a converter remote control unit to mobility-impaired
Customers.
Any Customer with a disability
may request the special services described above by providing the Cable
Operator with a letter from the Customer’s physician stating the need, or by
making the request to the Cable Operator’s installer or service technician,
where the need for the special services can be visually confirmed.
