We have developed, and are continuing to develop, a series of new tools for the support of cultural space in Seattle.
Our Cultural Space Inventory is an ongoing attempt to catalogue every cultural square foot within the city limits. You are welcome to download the full data package, and to take part in the inventory through a series of surveys.
An online tool to connect artists and artspaces. Our office has created this stand-alone website and database as a means of connecting artists and organizations to the spaces that they need. There are event spaces, rehearsal spaces, artists' studios, theaters, galleries, spaces for meetings, galas, screenings, readings, there are recording studios, photography studios, glass studios, and raw spaces like warehouses and retail spaces.
The Square Feet Cultural Space Handbook was developed in concert with other city departments and other cities, both in the US and Canada. It provides an exhaustive resource for those hoping to learn the ropes of commercial real estate and its intersection with the arts.
We have attempted to aggregate resources from other city departments on a single web page, which we have titled DPDSFDFAS/RES in deference to the alphabet soup of city acronyms.
