Patti Warashina, a much honored Seattle sculptor, created this surrealistic celebratory parade that represents a free- spirited group portrait of regional artists, critics, administrators, and art technicians known to the artist. The "A" in the title presumably stands for "Art." The artist's partial "snapshot" of some local artists with whom she came in contact during the mid-eighties becomes a historical documentation as well as an impressive example of her aesthetic, working methods and vivid sense of humor. Warashina's work continues to explore the human condition through her iconic use of the human form.
