FUNDING SOURCE
Gift to the City by Floyd Naramore
Prominently situated on Sixth Avenue at the Seneca Street exit off Interstate 5, Naramore Fountain was gifted to the city of Seattle by architect Floyd Naramore, whose firm designed the circular aggregate water basin which supports the sculptural bronze of the fountain. Completed in 1966 by artist George Tsutakawa, the multi-tiered, scalloped bronze forms rise from the center of the radial foundation, sending cascading sheets of water down to a raised center in the basin, offering the sculptural effect of a mountain stream.
