The clear glass "waterfall" by artists Paul Marioni and Ann Troutner cascades over the reception desk and merges with a "river" of green, blue and iridescent glass embedded within the terrazzo lobby floor of the Seattle City Light South Service Center. Water=Energy references the relationship between water, a natural resource, and hydro-electric power. The textured, rose-colored glass of the lobby's upper windows' wavelike patterns and soft glow also give the impression of an underwater environment.
