Energy=Light is a counterpart to Water=Energy. The piece combines thousands of clear glass beads with slivers of yellow and blue dichroic glass set in a V-shaped pattern in the 17-foot high clerestory lobby window. Light from the outside activates the colorful shards and adds sparkle to the beads. The dynamic shape of the glass' angular splinters visually plays with the concept of energy. When combined, the two artworks, like the two equations, link water, energy and light together in a continuous circuit rendered in glass.
