CENTRAL LIBRARY

Seattle's Central Library, part of the 1998 Libraries for All bond measure, opened in 2004. Visitors enjoy the site-integrated work of Seattle-based media artist Gary Hill, internationally recognized conceptual artist Ann Hamilton, and video artist Tony Oursler. As part of the Library Unbound project, textile artist Mandy Greer and artist George Legrady have completed residencies and installed artworks at the Central Library

BALLARD BRANCH

In November 1998, Seattle voters overwhelmingly approved the $196.4 million "Libraries for All" bond measure to upgrade The Seattle Public Library System with new facilities, technology, and books. The new Ballard Branch Library was the 15th project completed under the Libraries for All building program. Artist Donald Fels, with Andrew Schloss and Dale Stammen, completed a series of weather-activated artworks for the building.

BEACON HILL BRANCH

In November 1998, Seattle voters overwhelmingly approved the $196.4 million "Libraries for All" bond measure to upgrade The Seattle Public Library System with new facilities, technology, and books. The new Beacon Hill Branch Library was the 11th project completed under the Libraries for All building program. Artist Addison Miles Pepper created a weathervane and rain scuppers for the building.

BROADVIEW HILL BRANCH

In November 1998, Seattle voters overwhelmingly approved the $196.4 million "Libraries for All" bond measure to upgrade The Seattle Public Library with new facilities, technology, and books. The expanded Broadview branch library was the 25th project completed under the Libraries for All building program. Artist Theresa Batty completed two navigationally themed pieces for the branch.
