Beliz Brother's illumine occupies the vertical glass tower "lantern" on the northwest corner of the City Hall plaza. Dichroic glass discs, 24 inches in diameter, are strung like beads on eleven steel cables suspended from the ceiling. The discs rotate and twist, catching light and color and reflecting the surrounding environment.
Brother writes: "Viewed from all four sides, above and below, the discs create an artwork that brings the city and its people, through reflection, into the City Hall building, at the same time creating a transparent abstraction of color and light."
