Created from two columns topped with steel cubes punched with the shapes of houses, Gateway Lantern marks the center's entrance. The artists recognized that Miller "functions as a neighborhood landmark fostering a sense of collective identity" and wanted to reflect this strong presence in an artwork that would welcome visitors to the building.
