Located at the Raptor Center, a working cast-bronze beam scale supports animal figures that represent broad natural classifications and together symbolize the "balanced" ecosystem and biodiversity found within any given natural environment. Visitors can balance the scale by moving the weight to a specific point labeled "balanced biological habitat" or by moving it away from the "balanced" notch.
