Sprout Call for Filmmakers!
The Call for Artists is officially open!
For our next Sprout dinner, we're turning the spotlight to our talented film community. Whether you work in digital or celluloid, documentary or drama, art house or spaghetti western, we believe that people deserve to see your creative work on the big (or small) screen. This is our first ever media-specific Sprout, celebrating filmmakers of all genres who tell unique stories through moving pictures. Grantees are awarded upwards of $1000 to pursue their creative project. You could use that grant to help with equipment, craft services, labor, post-production expenses or anything else that you need to complete your project.
Sprout runs on the simple premise that it often takes a village to help realize a great idea to fruition. Thus far, the Sprout community has convened at delicious dinners to fund sixteen projects, three of which have been films.
The deadline for your proposal is March 12 at 4PM, and if selected, you must be able to commit to a play the lead role to present at the March 30 Sprout 9 dinner. Please spread the word to your filmmaker friends! Information about how to apply can be found here.
Make sure to save the date for Sprout 9!
