The Office of Arts & Culture activates and sustains Seattle through arts and culture. The Events Coordinator is part of the Community Development and Outreach team, which connects community to the many opportunities of the Office. Events provide a means for personal contact between members of the public and the Office of Arts & Culture. This position is the lead for large-scale signature events such as the Mayor's Arts Awards, City Hall concerts and celebrations of our funded partners and commissioned artists. In addition, the position will manage the Office's calendar of events, advising staff on key dates, and will manage all Office event logistics, from booking rooms to hiring teaching artists and entertainment, and organizing collateral.

The position is anticipated as part-time, 20 hrs/week for 2015, however there may be growth of up to 30 hrs/week in the future. This position requires some evening and weekend hours.

Communications & Outreach Intern

The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture is seeking for an undergraduate intern to assist the Outreach & Engagement Specialist during the summer months in all aspects of managing the Office's events and Communications, including preparation and dissemination of print and online marketing materials, pre-event planning and logistics, day-of-event onsite work and planning. The internship requires work in both an office environment and outdoors at events with regular interaction with the general public.
