Youth

The Seattle Animal Shelter cannot accept volunteers under 18 years old into its in-shelter volunteer programs.  We cannot make exceptions to this rule.

We can accommodate groups of youth (with chaperones) for several hours of volunteering or a behind-the-scenes shelter tours.  Opportunities are extremely limited and require one month’s notice.  Please contact the Manager of Animal Care and Volunteers at sas.volunteers@seattle.gov for more information.
