Lost and Found Cats

A waiting period of 4 days is required for any stray cat to allow enough time for the owners to claim the cat, if there are any. After the waiting period, the cats are put up for adoption and posted on the website.

If you have lost or found an animal, there is a report to fill out at our receiving desk. We update the lost and found report on our hotline from this report. You should contact all other shelters in the area with the same information.

It is also helpful if you have found an animal to have it scanned for a microchip either at your vet or at a shelter. Animals adopted from shelters are likely to have a microchip with their owner’s address and phone number registered in the national system. The microchip is the size of a grain of rice and is injected under the skin like a shot.
