Put uncoated paper in your food and yard waste cart. Examples include: paper napkins, kitchen paper towels, pizza boxes, and uncoated paper plates and bowls (such as Chinet or Cedar Grove brands).

Most paper plates are plastic-coated. Coated paper (such as milk cartons, ice cream cartons, or butter boxes) are accepted for recycling if they are clean and empty.

Note: Restaurants may have commercial compostables collection programs that accept products that are not allowed in your residential food and yard waste cart.
