Bike Train

Bike Trains are a fun way to get to school with older elementary school kids.

Similar to a Walking School Bus, a Bike Train involves a few parents “picking up” students along the way to school on bikes. It’s best to have one parent for every 3-6 students.

Thornton Creek Elementary started a bike train in 2012 with two routes and a set of bike train rules to keep kids safe and having fun. To learn more about how Thornton Creek’s bike train got started, click here
