2010 Parking Data Collection Results

In November 2010, SDOT completed a citywide data collection effort encompassing all neighborhoods with paid parking. Out of the approximately 13,500 paid parking spaces in the city, almost 60%, or 7,800 spaces, were included in the study. Results provided a reasonably accurate representation of how on-street paid parking was utilized. Several neighborhoods, such as First Hill and the Commercial Core, were quite full; several had low peak parking occupancy. The data results led to changes in the on-street parking rates in early 2011.
