Woodland Park Zoo

For more than 110 years, Woodland Park Zoo has been a cherished community resource and a unique urban oasis where visitors can reconnect with nature.

Woodland Park Zoo exhibits 1,000 animals representing 300 different species - from tiny insects to Earth's largest land mammal - the African elephant. The zoo spans 92 acres and is famed for creating revolutionary naturalistic exhibits that changed the face of zoos worldwide.

The Association of Zoos & Aquariums has honored the zoo with major  awards for its Humboldt penguin, Jaguar Cove, Trail of Vines, Northern Trail, Tropical Rain Forest, Elephant Forest and African Savanna exhibits.

The zoo is open daily October 1 - April 30: 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; May 1 - September 30: 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (closed Christmas Day).
