Seattle Parks and Recreation purchased this surplused City Light substation on August 29, 2003. In February 2005, Parks acquired a .07 acre property adjacent to the north side of the new park, to facilitate future use by upslope residents.
PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe Pro Parks Levy included the purchase of this property as a Neighborhood Parks Acquisition project. The former City Light Substation site is on Admiral Way SW near Garlough Ave SW. |
The Levy also provided funding for development of the site as a new park. See the development project webpage. Nantes Park
