ABOUT THE PARK
Ballard Playfield, adjacent to Ballard Community Center and Adams Elementary School, is a multi-purpose playfield featuring a children's play area and a soccer/baseball/softball field.Acreage: 3.4
Ballard Playfield is named after the district (once the town) of Ballard, named in honor of Capt. William R. Ballard, who platted the town in 1882. It was incorporated in 1889, named in 1890, and annexed to Seattle in 1907.
