ABOUT THE PARK

Fairmount Playfield is next to Fairmount Park Elementary School. It has a Jr. soccer and softball field. The shelter house is decorated with a Native American mural painted by local teens.

Fairmount Playfield has been designated a "Pesticide Free Park".

HISTORY

Fairmount is the name of a plat filed in 1907 in the vicinity and was a name applied to the neighborhood by the Planning Commission in the 1954 Recreation Report.
