HOURS6 a.m. - 10 p.m. ABOUT THE PARKNestled in a dense residential neighborhood, this park and playground provide recreation space for the neighborhood and adjacent Madrona K-8 School. The shelter house is also well used by the community. HISTORYCondemned "for park and playfield purposes" in 1927, the park boasts the first "modern" (concrete) tennis courts, which were built in 1930. The shelter house was a project of the Works Progress Administration, built in 1938. Recent play area improvements were spearheaded by a local community group.
