Meadowbrook Community Center and Pool will remain open during Seattle Public Utilities construction. Beginning as early as May 5, part of 35th Ave. NE will be closed for approximately six months. During the closure, 35th Ave. NE will be open only to local access traffic. Meadowbrook Community Center and Meadowbrook Pool will have to be accessed from the south, but will continue offering regular programming.

Located near Nathan Hale High School, and Meadowbrook Community Center and pool, Meadowbrook Playfield includes playfields, lighted tennis courts, a children's play area, and meadows.

The land for Meadowbrook Playfield was purchased in 1960.
