Free Carkeek Park Field Trips

You may be eligible for a FREE (including transportation), 2-hour Urban Watersheds program at Carkeek Park or Camp Long in West Seattle. These programs coincide with the return of Piper’s Creek and Longfellow Creek salmon, align with Seattle Public School EALR’s, and incorporate inquiry-based learning. (Also available at Carkeek: a naturalist-led, post-field trip tree planting for students.)

ABOUT CARKEEK PARK

Located in northwest Seattle, this popular park offers extraordinary views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

Years of hard work by neighbors and volunteers have brought salmon back to Pipers Creek in Carkeek Park.

About the Environmental Learning Center

ELCThe Carkeek Park Environmental Learning Center (ELC) has been built using sustainable practices to provide additional space for environmental education and stewardship activities and to create additional community gathering/meeting space.
