 M/W Evening Spring schedule Changes

Queen Anne Pool is making some minor changes to our Monday and Wednesday evening schedule with the goals of teaching more children how to swim and maximizing pool usage.  We want to continue to have our regular scheduled programs, but there will be changes at this time to maximize swimming lessons, giving people more opportunities to learn to swim and reducing the waiting list for youth instruction.  Currently we offer one and a half hours of lessons on those nights; with these changes that will go up to two hours.

New Schedule

Monday Evening

5:30 – 7:30 pm: Swim Lessons
7:30 – 8:30 pm: Water Exercise
8:30 – 9:30 pm: Lap Swim
Wednesday Evening

 5:30 – 7:30 pm: Swim Lessons

 7:30 – 8:15 pm: Water Exercise

Our goal with these changes is to increase what our pool offers the community. Wednesday night water exercise will also start a half hour later at 7:30 pm, changing to a new 45 minute class. 30 minutes will be in the water and 15 minutes on land. The land workout will focus on abdominal work and cross-training exercises. The 45 minute wet/dry format is a new structure that meets an aquatic fitness industry recommendation and we will be interested in your reviews. We are listening to our customers and will collect comments once the change is underway. We are eager to hear everyone’s opinions of their effectiveness.
